Part 2 of this series follows the same timeline of Blame It on the Pain and if you have not read that book, you might miss some little 'Easter eggs' and things might not be as clear to you. Part 3- (the final installment) takes place after 'Blame It on the Pain'.
While it is not required that you read Blame It on the Pain before starting this series, it will enhance your experience.

All of these books for the absolute best for me it had the hot and the hated the love the tears laughter it had all the fields in all the right spots Ashley Jade sure knows how to read them and write them well she does I have gotten the opportunity to get to know Ashley and her followers and I am in love I will forever be grateful for part 3 of this series for it touched my heart in ways a stranger could never know and myself as a reader could never expect a stranger to understand. Although I wish these characters could last forever in book after book I will forever be thankful and grateful to have been a reader of this series if you don't buy these books you are an idiotProduct details

I loved this series, the more I read the more the characters and the story got to me. Who needs bookboyfriends when you can have a book family. Ricardo and Lou-Lou's story really draws you in and gives you all the feels. This story is dark, complicated and beautiful. It is packed full of suspense and angst and will keep you wanting more till the end.
I would like to start off saying that this collection has both shattered my emotions and caused me to believe that things always happen for a reason.
Part 1 of Shame kept me on the edge of my seat the entire book. Ricardo and Lou-Lou go through so much in this book and Ashley has the ability to make you feel like you are experiencing it right along with them.
In part 2 you can see all the pieces of the previous stories tying together in unbelievable ways. I can not understand how one book can me feel all of these emotions at one time. I wanted to cry, laugh, jump up and down with happiness, throw my kindle, find Ashley and tourture her.
Ricardo and LouLou needed Part 3 to let all their readers know how their story played out. And oh my, the story had me laughing, crying and wanting to throw my kindle all at the same time. In typical Ashley Jade fashion, she destroyed my heart only to put it back together and again and then throw me for yet another loop. The phrase I use often when describing how Ashley's books play with my emotions is "she does the tango on my heart" and this time was no different.
I honestly don't know how I managed to read these outside of a boxset and survived. It's just that brilliant.
I honestly do not know where to begin. I have never read any story like this story before. I have never felt so much angst like I did from a storyline such as this one. Some of the scenes being described had me down right crying and bawling. I had to look away and swallow to get pass the scene. This book had me from chapter one and I absolutely could not place it down. The author threw all punches and knocked it way out of the ring. What an emotional rollercoaster ride. I absolutely love it. I loved the storytelling and I will highly recommend this story to my family and friends. Amazing. Absolutely amazing.! PS that interview was the best dang interview I have ever read.. Rolling on the floor from laughing so hard. Wonderfully done!
It’s really hard for me to put all my feelings into why this is the perfect trilogy without giving away spoilers. I love Lou Lou and Ricardo and their deep love for each other. The suspense, intrigue, mystery, and Lou Lou’s and Ricardo’s love for each other throughout all three books is well written and kept me turning the pages and then screaming because I had to wait for the next book to be written. Now all three books are in a box set and no waiting for the next book. This series is so wonderful that I bought this box set even through I have each individual book. Love it.
Ashley Jade did an amazing and wonderful job writing Lou Lou’s and Ricardo’s story. These three books just pulled on my heart strings and will stay with me forever.
This book and this series is definitely 5+ star worthy.

Words cannot describe how much I loved this book. As a disclaimer.. Yes, it is a dark romance. Yes, there are some things in this book that are not for everyone. With that being said, I. LOVED. THIS. SERIES. SO. MUCH. Im beyond devastated its over. I want more! I want to know what the future holds for them!
Lou-Lou - God, how I love her. She has to be one of the strongest, most amazing female characters I've read. (And I've read a LOT of books!) Your heart breaks for her. It sings for her. I feel so many emotions for this woman. She's my new favorite female characters..ever. EVER. That's how I feel about this "piccolo superstite".
Ricardo - He's now my dark prince. Every woman deserves to have a man love her the way Ricardo loves Lou-Lou. Mob boss or not - the way he loves Lou-Lou so endlessly, so selflessly, so perfectly.. He gives ME butterflies. Sure, there were times when he wasnt so perfect. When his hurt had him lashing out. And those times, I felt just as gutted as Lou-Lou. His obsession with her, tho? Wow. And his love and devotion for those he truly cares about and loves? OMG. Really. We all need our own Ricky in our lives.
The twists and turns this series had me gasping, screaming, and shouting. Ashley Jade has given us such a well thought out story.. Perfectly written. I wouldn't change ANYTHING. Except maybe .. MORE. Please? Im not ready for it to be over. (
How much these two love each other goes so deep. Deeper than I've ever thought two fictional characters could have. What they sacrifice? What they do to protect one another? I could only hope to one day feel an ounce of that in real life. That's how much this series brings the feels out in me.
And let me say this This series really does show you what being a SURVIVOR is. Because both Lou-Lou and Ricardo are survivors. I dont know how ANYONE could think otherwise. I've personally been through some rough things in my own life..And this book reminded me just how strong and brave that *I* was. That *I* persevered and overcame. It showed me how *I* survived my own demons. And for that alone, Ashley Jade has my upmost respect, love and loyalty.
Read this series. I swear, you will NOT be disappointed. I couldnt put it down. I was actually mad at real life for interrupting my Blame It On The Shame time. I'll be reading this series (and author) over. And over. And over.
