Next Book Storm & Strike (#3)
When the vampire Fenton discovers the hideout of the witches who kidnapped Skye's brother, the fae prince knows that he has to go with him to confront them. It will mean travelling into the unknown corners of the world, but with Fenton by his side, Skye knows that he'll be safe.
Ash and his vampire lover Azrael have been safely returned to the Realm, but Ash quickly discovers that fae law forbids their relationship. Changing the law becomes an obsession, but even the king claims that it's unbreakable.
The two brothers set off on separate journeys, both trying to do what they think is best for the Realm, but what they discover along the way will profoundly change them, and make them doubt everything that they thought they knew.
Old alliances will falter, new enemies will emerge, and they will discover that there is good and bad on both sides. Ash learns that love against the odds isn't easy, and Skye fears that love alone might never be enough.
WARNING. This book contains explicit scenes unsuitable for readers under 18.

Wow.I almost don't want to review this book, because I'm not sure that I can write a review which I feel will do it justice. It has been a long time since I have been this sucked in by a gay fantasy novel. Or even any novel, to be honest. I think the last time I was this enamored was when I read Kirby Crow, but...
As great as the first book in this series was, the sequel is better. Everything is expanded upon. The plot, the characters, the world. Little things are explained, like: why was the younger son of the King (Prince Ash) so over-protected his whole life, since he isn't the heir? There is a reason for it. Why is Azrael, an ancient vampire, allied with Skye and the fae? Why is it against High Law to be gay in the fae realm?
Everything is fleshed out more, including the characters. You will see much more of Skye in this book, and Fenton, and some more of Alyssia, who I am fascinated with.
There is never a dull moment in this series. I read it greedily.
I hope there is a way for it to be published in print, so others can read it as well. This...is fantastic.
